summer is here, so the june installment...

slang- 'hey coop' translation= "wow, how ya doing, haven't seen you in a while"...this is taken from the character david lynch plays in twin peaks, FBI Regional Bureau Chief Gordon Cole, so try and sound like him when using it...
word of the month- lavender...
movie- speed racer...no lie...
photo- mary ellen mark and her prom portrait series blew me away at the look festival in Charlottesville this month...reminds me that prints are the way of the future...i found myself starring at these for many minutes and loving every one...wonderful...
what everybody should be doing- watching barry levinson's baltimore trilogy (diner, tin men, and liberty heights)...well, maybe i should do that, because i'll be living in baltimore soon to work with those patuxent folks...oh, and sending in photos for photospectra, yeah you should do that too...
